As a Junior Data Engineer at Convz, you’ll dive into a world of data with endless possibilities. Here’s what your role will look like:
Data Mastery: Assemble and manage large data sets to meet both functional and non-functional requirements. Your work will ensure our data is top-notch.
Innovate & Improve: Design and implement process improvements to automate manual tasks and optimize data delivery. Your innovative ideas will drive efficiency.
Build Infrastructure: Help create the infrastructure needed for seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading from diverse sources.
Collaborate & Support: Work closely with Product, Data Integration, and Design teams to tackle data-related issues and support their infrastructure needs.
Tool Creation: Develop data tools for BI reporting and digital analytics that will enhance our product and keep us ahead of the curve.
Strive for Excellence: Partner with data and analytics experts to push the boundaries of our data systems’ functionality.
What We’re Looking For
Education: A BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Coding Skills: 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages.
Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud services (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also cool).
Web Savvy: Basic knowledge of web languages like HTML and JavaScript.
GCP Knowledge: Experience with Google Cloud Platform tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and DataProc.
CI/CD & Orchestration: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.) and orchestration tools (Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory).
